1. Though the present writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the order dated 27.08.2024, passed by the Collector, Vaishali in Miscellaneous Case No.13 of 2023-24, in pursuance of an application filed by the petitioner under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, however, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already filed an application before the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mahnar, DistrictVaishali under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare

Patna High Court CWJC No.15560 of 2024(2) dt.21-10-2024 2/2 of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, which has been numbered as Case No.05 of 2024, hence the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mahnar, District-Vaishali be directed to conclude the proceedings of the said case and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, forthwith.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the proceedings of the aforesaid case is still pending, the same shall be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Sub-Divisional Officer, Mahnar, District-Vaishali to conclude the proceedings of the aforesaid Case No.15 of 2024, in case the same has not yet been concluded, as has also been directed by the District Magistrate, Vaishali, by the aforesaid order dated 27.08.2024 and pass the final order in accordance with law and after hearing the affected parties, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
