Petitioner seeks bail in Tatarpur (University) P.S. Case No. 159 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 456 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code. Informant who is a teacher in Government School has alleged that while she was returning from school two motorcycle borne miscreants tried to snatch her golden chain and she caught hold the rider of the motorcycle who fell down with the motorcycle and was caught by public and pillion rider fled away. He disclosed the name of petitioner as co-accused and even broken golden chain which was sold by co-accused was recovered from the shopkeeper. Sufficient evidence has been found during investigation against the petitioner and he has also got criminal antecedent.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.68825 of 2018(2) dt.03-12-2018 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, hence the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
