The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Belhar (Khesar) P.S. Case No. 144 of 2016, registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504, 506 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would appear from the F.I.R. that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. In course of investigation, injured Prabha disclosed the name of 17 persons, including the petitioner, as assailants, but she has not disclosed any specific overt act of the petitioner. Further submission is that petitioner has no criminal antecedent is in custody since 11.04.2017.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of
