Patna High Court LPA No.923 of 2017 dt.27-04-2018 2/2 The limited issue raised in the present appeal is not against the impugned order as such dated 12.04.2017, but a grievance arising out of the adjudication that there should have been an order for grant of payment of interest for the delay caused in settlement of retiral dues of the present appellant, who was also petitioner before the Writ Court.

The Court allows the appellant to file an application making out a cogent case for grant of interest on the delayed payment of post retiral dues, besides the statutory one, which if not already paid, has to be paid. The competent authority will thereafter take a decision within three months of filing of such an application for payment of interest alone and no other issue. Appeal stands disposed off with the above liberty and observation.
