In the present case the petitioner has raised a limited grievance that against the order passed by the Sub Divisional Officer, West Muzaffarpur he has filed an appeal which has been registered as Appeal No.17 of 2014 but even after lapse of three years no order has been passed.
From the record it appears that appeal is pending since 2014. The appellate authority was required to dispose of the appeal without unnecessary delay.
In such view of the matter, this Court directs the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner
Patna High Court CWJC No.9934 of 2017 (2) dt.11-10-2017 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observation and direction this writ petition is disposed of.
