JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 21-12-2018 The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Araria (R.S.) P.S.Case No. 274 of 2018 registered under Section s 25(1B)a/26/27/35 of the Arms Act. Allegation against the petitioner is of firing on the police party and petitioner was arrested and one country made pistol along with cartridges were recovered and it further appears that he is accused in 26 other cases.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner is in custody for seven months and in most of the cases either he is on bail or has been acquitted. Heard learned APP also.

Having heard both sides, in view of allegation as well as criminal antecedents, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

However, trial court is directed to expedite the trial

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.76480 of 2018(2) dt.21-12-2018 2/2 and hear the same on regular basis. At the same time, the Superintendent of Police, Araria is directed to produce the witnesses on the date fixed in the trial so that trial may be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
