Case No. 162 of 2016 registered for the offence punishable under section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act. Learned counsels appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is not named in the first information report. He is the bona fide owner of the vehicle in question. Petitioner has no concern with the seized kerosene oil. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent.
