2. The petitioner has filed the present writ application for grant of license for running saw mill in light of the notification bearing No. 3240 dated 29.08.2023 annexing all the relevant documents including the demand draft which was required under the Act.

3. A counter affidavit and supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State stating therein that

Patna High Court CWJC No.15972 of 2024(4) dt.08-04-2025 2/2 the application of the petitioner was received in the office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Bhojpur on 15.02.2025 which was duly forwarded to the Chairman of the State-level Committee (constituted in respect of Bihar wood-based industries) vide letter no. 514 dated 24.02.2025 and the matter is still pending for consideration before the Chairman, State Level Committee.

In view of the stand taken by the respondent-State, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Chairman, State Level Committee to dispose of the application of the petitioner which was forwarded by the office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Bhojpur vide letter no. 514 dated 24.02.2025, in accordance with law, within a period of three month, from the date of production/receipt of copy of this order and if the committee has found in favour of the petitioner, necessary order shall be passed by the authority concerned within next four weeks.
