The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kharagpur P.S. Case No. 294 of 2017, registered for offence punishable under Sections 461 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated on the basis of confessional statement. Further submission is that the petitioner is not named in the FIR and nothing has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 24.06.2019.
