JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 14-01-2020 This writ application has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide him a bodyguard for his personal security. The petitioner is relying on a report of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, which is in the nature of recommendation made to the Senior Superintendent of Police for providing the petitioner a bodyguard on payment basis. The petitioner is an accused in a case punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code in which he is on bail. He is also an accused in another case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 379 of the IPC and

Patna High Court CWJC No.24000 of 2019(2) dt.14-01-2020 2/2 Rule 40 of the Bihar Miner Mineral Rules, 1972. Despite this, if there is such threat perception to the extent that the petitioner needs a bodyguard, the competent authority may consider his case in accordance with the policy of the State Government.
