The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Ara Muffasil P.S. Case No. 48 of 2017 under Sections 419, 420, 406 and 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The informant filed a complaint case alleging therein that the informant settled the married of his daughter with Sushil Kumar, son of the petitioner, Nathun Ram, but, later on the petitioner and others demanded dowry and broke the negotiation. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he never demanded any dowry. The bride-groom himself refused to marry with the daughter of the informant. No dowry has ever been received nor was marriage settled.

Considering the fact and the nature of allegation and the fact that the petitioner is father of the bride-groom, the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender, within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order, is directed to be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48984 of 2017 (2) dt.17-10-2017 2/2 Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Ara Muffasil P.S. Case No. 48 of 2017 to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara, or successor Court, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
