JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 24-04-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to cancel the excess electric bill issued to the petitioner.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the two bills for Rs. 2,330/- and Rs. 40,165/- (Annexure 2 and 3 respectively) raised by the respondent-power company are highly excessive and arbitrary considering that the petitioner is a resident of rural area and has not consumed electricity to the extent shown in the bills.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent-power company invites attention to para 5 of the counter affidavit to submit that the earlier bills have already been corrected for Rs. 3,138.25 and has been sent to the petitioner.
4. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner and the stand of the respondent-power company as aforesaid, the writ petition is
Patna High Court CWJC No.13563 of 2017 dt.24-04-2018 disposed of with the observation that if the petitioner makes payment of the corrected bill he would be at liberty to represent before the respondentpower company for restoration of electricity to his premises.
