2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 137(2), 140(3) 61(2) and 3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
3. As per allegation in the FIR, petitioner along with other co-accused persons forcefully got off the informant along with his wife from a bus while they were going to Ludhiyana and thereafter, they confined them in a room where co-accused Ranjit Kumar called the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.74693 of 2024(2) dt.18-10-2024 2/3 mother of informant and demanded Rs. 5,000/- (five thousand rupees) as ransom.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in the present case. Neither the petitioner is named in F.I.R. nor anything incriminating has been recovered from his conscious possession. He has not demanded any ransom rather the allegation of demand of ransom is levelled upon co-accused Ranjit Kumar who has been granted bail vide order dated 05.10.2024, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 71934 of 2024 by co-ordinate Bench of this Court. Moreover, the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 26.07.2024. A statement has been made in para 3 of the petition that petitioner has no criminal antecedent.
5. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for Bail.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and

The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Kanti P.S. Case No. 379 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional chief Judicial Magistrate III, (West), Muzaffarpur.
