The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498(A), 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The basic accusation is of torture for nonfulfillment of dowry demand and ousting the informant from her matrimonial house.

The petitioner was granted provisional bail vide order dated 24.10.2019 and thereafter vide order dated

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.63743 of 2019(6) dt.20-06-2022 2/2 04.03.2020, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre of the Patna High Court.

The report of the Mediator is annexed as FlagM which suggests that the parties have resolved their dispute through the process of mediation. The petitioner and the informant agreed to live peacefully as husband and wife. The petitioner also agreed to keep his wife with full dignity and honour whereas the informant also agreed to live with the petitioner as wife and behave gently with her parents-in-law.

In view of the fact that both sides have amicably settled their disputes through the process of mediation, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 24.10.2019 is hereby confirmed. Accordingly, the petition stands disposed off. (Sunil Kumar Panwar, J) Shageer/- U T
