The present writ application has been filed for a direction to the respondent authorities to provide security to the life and property of the petitioner as Respondent No.7, Nathuni Thakur has been maliciously harvesting the crop from the land

Patna High Court CWJC No.14942 of 2017(2) dt.05-10-2018 2/3 of the petitioner, appertaining to Thana No. 176, Khata No.40, Plot No.147, situated at Mauza Darpa, P.S. Darpa, District East Champaran.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for seeking police protection, the petitioner transmitted a representation to the Respondent No.5, the S.P., Motihari, East Champaran, on 01.02.2007, as contained in Annexure-1, and to Respondent No.6, the Officer In-Charge, Darpa Police Station on 14.12.2007, as contained in Annexure-2, through registered post but till date action has not been taken and he has not been provided protection.

It appears that for the cause of action having arisen in the year 2007, the present writ application was registered on 12.10.2017.

In the circumstances, this Court feels appropriate that if the petitioner is still apprehensive about the security to his life and property, then he is expected to file a fresh representation before the Respondent No.2, the District Magistrate and Respondent No.5, the S.P., East Champaran within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, whereupon it is expected from the concerned authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner and dispose of
