2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 323, 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. Allegation against the petitioner is of torturing and harassing the complainant due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

4. Petitioner is father-in-law of the complainant.

5. It is submitted that there is general and omnibus

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.72545 of 2023(3) dt.29-02-2024 2/2 allegation against the petitioner. Petitioner is separate in mess and property and he is not concerned with the family affairs of the complainant. Thrust of accusation is against husband of the complainant. Petitioner has got clean antecedent.

6. Learned counsel for the complainant vehemently opposes the bail application.

7. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Madhepura in connection with Complaint Case No. 278 of 2022, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
