2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 137(a), 103(1), 238 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. As per prosecution case, informant's daughter Arti Kumari went to college but she did not return.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Charge sheet has already been submitted. Petitioner claims clean antecedent and he is in custody since 7.6.2025.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits that on confession of this petitioner, contained in paragraph 47 of the case diary, mobile phone has been recovered which had been used to talk with the daughter of the informant. During investigation, it has emerged that petitioner wanted to marry with informant's daughter but on her refusal, petitioner killed her by strangulation using her Dupatta. In the post mortem report, doctor has opined that death was caused due to asphyxia and shock due to pressure and

6. Considering the gravity of accusation as well as the materials collected during course of investigation, petition for bail of this petitioner is dismissed. Since, petitioner is in custody, let the trial be expedited and concluded preferably within a year.
