In the present case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 570 of 2014 arising out of Lakhisarai P.S. Case No. 221 of 2006 for offence under Sections 341, 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and added Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

The report of the Additional District Judge 2nd, Lakhisarai dated 3.5.2017 has been received. From perusal of the same, it appears that out of seven charge sheet witnesses, five prosecution witnesses have been examined and cross-examined and discharged.

In that view of the matter, this Court hopes and trusts

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.17443 of 2017 (3) dt.10-05-2017 upon the presiding officer to conclude the trial within a period of five months from today.

If the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period of five months, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail before this Court.
