2. The present writ application is being filed for issuance of appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions for the following relief/s:- "(i.) For the early Disposal and conclusion of Session Trial No. 696 of 2016/C.I.S. - 535/2016 in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 728 of 2014 Dated 10.12.2014 DistrictWest Champaran under Section 302 & 120(B) of Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of Arms Act, pending before the Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge-X, Bettiah considering the fact that the said case has been running on trial in the said
Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1907 of 2023(2) dt.21-04-2025 2/3 Learned Court and has been lingering since 2014 on account of trivial issues and on the mere formality of marking attendance of the accused persons since the said accused namely Rakesh Kumar Jaiswal (Respondent No.3 herein) has been granted Bail by this Hon'ble Court vide order dated 03.03.2015 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No.8695 of 2015 and the accused namely Ankur Srivastava @ Praneet Sumer (Respondent No.2 herein) has been granted Bail vide order dated 13.12.2016 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No.41167 of 2016 by this Hon'ble Court and since then, both the accused persons are enjoying the privilege of bail.
(ii.) For Prescribing a fixed time limit, as may deem fit by this Hon'ble Court, to dispose of the said case bearing Session Trial No. 696 of 2016/C.I.S.-535/2016 in the most efficient and judicious manner as the accused persons are trying to play the delayed tactics and has been trying to linger the matter as long as possible since they have been enjoying the privilege of bail for last 7-8 years causing huge injustice, exhaustion and agony to the informant (Petitioner herein) and Victim's family."
3. The District and Additional Sessions Judge-X, Bettiah is directed to conclude the Sessions Trial No. 696 of 2016/C.I.S.--535/2016 in connection with Bettiah Town P.S. Case No. 728 of 2024 within six months from the date of
Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1907 of 2023(2) dt.21-04-2025 3/3 receipt/production of a copy of this order.
4. With the aforesaid direction, this application is disposed of.
5. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Bettiah through FAX for its compliance forthwith.
