Mr. Rabindra Kumar ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 04-03-2020 The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 27.02.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 75983 of 2018.

Petitioner is the main assailant of the deceased. The petitioner is in custody since 11.05.2018 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 90 of 2019, arising out of Udwant Nagar P.S. Case No. 21 of 2018 instituted for the offences under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The report about the stage of the case has been received. It appears from the report that till 16.11.2019, only one witness had been examined at the trial.

The pace of the trial appears to be tardy. However, this Court finds that the processes for compelling the attendance of the witnesses have already been undertaken by the Trial Court.

In that view of the matter, this Court directs the Trial Court to speed up the process of trial and conclude the same within a reasonable period of time, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. As far as prayer for bail of the petitioner is concerned, it is hereby rejected.

With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands disposed off.
