JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 08-01-2020 The petitioner is seeking quashing of an order dated 20.05.2019 passed by the District Programme Officer, Banka, in Misc. Anganbari Case No.17 of 2019-20, whereby the petitioner's selection as Anganbari Sevika has been cancelled on the ground that the certificate, issued by the Board of School and Technical Education (Chhatisgarh), was not a valid certificate for such selection, based on which her selection was made. It is on the ground that Board of School and Technical Education (Chhatisgarh) is not in the list of Boards of School Education recognized by the Council of Board of School Education in India (COBSE), the impugned order has been

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has drawn my attention to the impugned order to submit that a report was called for from the COBSE regarding the Board in question and the COBSE had informed through letter dated 13.10.2017 that the Board was duly recognized. I have seen the list of Boards of School Education recognized by the COBSE available on the website of COBSE. The name of the Board in question does not figure in the list. It appears from the own website of the Board of School and Technical Education (Chhatisgarh) that the same was established under the Indian Trusts Act and claims to be registered with the 'Planning Commission'. It does not indicate that the Board is one of the recognized Board and figures in the list of recognized Boards published by the COBSE. The candidature of the petitioner, in my opinion, has rightly been rejected for her appointment as Anganbari Sevika. The impugned order does not require any interference. This application is accordingly dismissed.
