In the present case, the petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Arer P.S. Case No. 63 of 2016 for offence under Sections 306 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The victim was living at Kanpur, she was brought to her Naihar after Bidagri and, in the Naihar itself, she has committed suicide.

An allegation has been made that she was forced to demand dowry and was mentally tortured for the same. On that

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23992 of 2017 (2) dt.01-07-2017 account, she has taken an extreme step to finish herself. The petitioners are father-in-law, mother-in-law and married Nanad respectively.

Looking to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioners, namely, Harshit Jha, Anita Devi @ Mamta Jha and Guddi Devi @ Mamta Jha @ Priyanka Jha, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri Ajay Kumar II, learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Benipatti, Madhubani in connection with Arer P.S. Case No. 63 of 2016 (G.R. No. 555 of 2016), subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. as also subject to condition that whenever the police will call the petitioners for investigation/interrogation, they will remain present and if they would not present themselves, the privilege of grant of anticipatory bail shall be deemed to have been cancelled.
