2. The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Paliganj P.S. Case No. 154 of 2013 for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 307, 504 of the Indian Penal Code lodged on 12.06.2013 by the informant, Ashok Kumar Gupta.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that while he was talking with another person, this petitioner who was quarreling with his wife presumed that they are talking about him. Accordingly, used 'khanti' to assault on his head causing injury. This led to the FIR.

4. Though, learned counsel for the petitioner tried to impress upon this Court about his innocence learned APP

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.74147 of 2024(2) dt.23-10-2024 2/2 pointed out that the occurrence is of 12.06.2013 and 15 and half years later, on 02.08.2024, he has come into judicial custody, thus, completely delaying the trial.

5. Considering the conduct of the petitioner in coming into judicial custody after more than 15 long years, for the present, this Court is not inclined to extend him the privilege of bail which is accordingly rejected.
