The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief(s):- "That this writ application is being filed for limited prayer to direct the respondent no. 2-3 to register his supply appeal which was filed by the petitioner on 24-03-2023 against the order of cancellation of PDS license in Gram Panchayat Baliya, Rahika Block under the Sub Division of Madhubani bearing license no. 23/1997,

Patna High Court CWJC No.18730 of 2025(4) dt.01-07-2026 2/3 366/2007 vide order dated 05.04.2011 letter No. 267 whereby and where under the license of the petitioner has been cancelled only on the ground he has not deposited the price of wheat and rice and also not deposited the challan of March 2011 under BPL scheme. Petitioner further prays that the direction may also be issued to respondent no. 2 that after registered his supply appeal and dispose of within a reasonable time by reason and speaking order."

3. Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the counsels.

4. Having regard to the fact that the only relief sought for in the present writ petition is a direction to Respondent No. 2, i.e., the District Magistrate-cum-Collector, Madhubani, to dispose of the supply appeal filed by the petitioner against the order of cancellation of the PDS license vide memo no. 267 dated 05.04.2011 (Annexure P/7). The present writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 2 to consider the said appeal strictly in accordance with law and pass a reasoned order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and leaving all questions including the question of limitation open.

5. With the above directions, the present writ petition
