In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Kishanganj P.S. Case No.348 of 2017, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 419, 420, 406, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation has been made against the petitioner that she has ensured the dead person and tried to extract the money from the L.I.C.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that similarly situated persons have been granted bail by this Court in Criminal Miscellaneous No.60328 of 2017 and Criminal Miscellaneous No. 61234 of 2017.

No.30528 of 2018(2) dt.18-05-2018 2/2 Looking to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, namely, Bandita Das, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kishanganj, in connection with Kishanganj P.S. Case no.348 of 2017, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Further condition is that whenever the police will call the petitioner for the purposes of investigation and interrogation, she will remain present. In the event of being absent on two consecutive dates without reasonable explanation, the present order will be treated to have been cancelled. (Shivaji Pandey, J) pawan/- U T
