The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for her appointment on the post of Anganbari Sevika for Centre No. 128 under Ward No. 12, Gram Panchayat-Nonphara in the Circle Bandar in the district Muzaffarpur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further prays that the respondents be given a direction to conduct an Aam Sabha

Patna High Court CWJC No.20914 of 2019(2) dt.09-01-2020 2/3 forthwith as the respondents are needlessly delaying the process of appointment and, as such, no selection on the post of the Anganbari Sevika for the Centre No. 129, Ward No. 12 of Gram Panchayat Nonphara has been held even though an Ad hoc merit-list has already been prepared. He, thus, submits that an appropriate direction towards this would enable the process to be completed expeditiously. It is further submitted that several representations to the said effect have been filed by the petitioners and other public representatives dated 09.09.2019 and 11.09.2019 which are yet to be disposed off.

Considering the simple prayer made by the petitioner and also because the post of Anganbari Sevika has been kept vacant for no apparent reason and there appears to be no justification for the same, let the Respondent No. 6, namely, the Child Development Project Officer, Bandra, Muzaffarpur, take immediate steps towards holding the Aam Sabha of the concerned Panchayat. The said Aam Sabha should be held positively within a period of six weeks from the date of production/receipt of a copy of this order and the further process should also continue so as to be completed within a period of three months thereafter.
