2. This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 06.03.2019 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 850 of 2016, whereby the Appellate Authority / Appellate Board of the Bank has been directed to reconsider and grant lower punishment to the petitioner considering the punishment

The initial punishment of the petitioner as can be seen from the subsequent order passed on 17.04.2019 in the writ petition that the petitioner was visited with the punishment of reduction of eight lower stage in time scale of pay till retirement of the petitioner. In compliance of the order passed in the writ petition, the Appellate Board in its decision dated 11.06.

2019, which decision has been enclosed by the petitioner himself in the writ petition, it appears that the petitioner's penalty / the punishment has been changed from reduction of eight lower stage in time scale of pay till retirement of the petitioner to reduction to six lower stage in time scale of pay till his date of retirement with further direction that the petitioner will not earn increment of pay during the period of such reduction and on expiry of such period the reduction will have the effect of postponing the future increment of his pay issued under Regulation 39(1)(b)(i) of the Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank (Officers & Employees) Service Regulation 2010, in place of earlier penalty imposed by the disciplinary authority vide order dated 12.07.2014. The penalty imposed by the Appellate Board's decision dated 11.06.

2019 is stated to be the lesser punishment that was imposed on the petitioner earlier.

4. In view of the above, I find that the order passed in the writ petition has been complied with by the opposite parties.

5. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed and disposed of.
