The petitioner has filed the instant application for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 385, 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per allegation in the FIR, informant received a message for demand of extortion money of Rs. 5,00,000/- and threatened of dire consequences, if not paid.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and he has

The petitioner has no concern with the Lawrence Bishnoi group, to whom the allegation is levelled of demanding extortion money. It is also submitted that demand of ransom has not been executed. Petitioner is not named in F.I.R. His name sprang up in this case on the confessional statement of co-accused persons, namely, Arun Kumar Upadhyay @ Deepak Kumar and Prakash Kumar, before the police, which has no evidentiary value in the eye of law. Moreover, the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 30.06.2022.

Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for Bail.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Mirganj P.S. Case No. 74 of 2022 on furnishing bail
