2. Admittedly, the application for compassionate appointment has been made by Annexure-2 dated 31.05.2019, about five and a half (5 1/2) years after the demise of the petitioner's father in harness on 21.11.2013, while serving as Panchayat Secretary.

3. The fact is not in dispute that for the purpose of compassionate appointment, application was required to be made within 5 years. The same having not been done, this court would observe that no enforceable claim for consideration has been raised by way of the instant proceedings.
