2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Gaya Rail P.S. Case No. 141 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, 21 Kg. of ganja has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

4. Mr. Ramakant Sharma, learned senior counsel for the petitioner has vehemently argued the case for grant of bail and has submitted that all the mandatory provisions of NDPS Act have been violated. The petitioner is in jail since 15.05.2023.

5. Learned APP appearing for the State has also

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.75605 of 2023(3) dt.27-02-2024 2/2 vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

6. Considering the huge recovery, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.

7. Accordingly, this application stands dismissed.

8. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial.

9. If the trial is delayed, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
