2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 90 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 376, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of committing rape upon the victim girl in a jungle and the allegation levelled against the petitioner has further been supported by the victim girl in her statement made under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

4. The petitioner is in jail since 26.12.2023 and charges have been framed against him.

5. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

7. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same at the earliest.

8. Learned counsel for the informant undertakes to produce the witnesses in the trial and if the trial of the petitioner is delayed due to the prosecution side then the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
