2. The petitioner was aggrieved by his order of suspension. However, today it has been informed that final order has been passed in the departmental proceeding by which certain punishment has been imposed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the final order has been passed in the departmental proceeding, but in view of there being no order/clarification with regard to the status of the petitioner relating to him being under suspension, a follow-up or consequential order is required to be passed.

4. Learned Advocate General submitted that the final order passed in the departmental proceeding is supposed to supersede all previous orders and but naturally, suspension order also stands merged with the same. However, he submitted that consequential order, as may be required, shall be issued within 10 days.

5. In view of the clear-cut stand taken by learned Advocate General, the writ petition stands disposed off.

6. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to assail the order of punishment inflicted on him, in accordance with law, before the appropriate forum.
