The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to make correction in Jamabandi register of Jamabandi No.47 which contains Khata No.11, 149 area 29 decimal as in the Jamabandi register Plot/Khesra No.149 has been stated in place of 159 and has been created in the name of Banti Sah in place of Gobardhan Sah.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the officials have created a wrong Jamabandi in Plot No.149 which is a non-existing plot in place of Plot No.159 and petitioner want to correct the same by way of cancellation of Jamabandi

Patna High Court CWJC No.603 of 2023(3) dt.18-09-2023 2/2 No.149 and at its place opening of Jamabandi in Plot No.159. He also submits that wrong name has been mentioned in the said Jamabandi No.149.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that the remedy lies to the petitioner by way of filing an application before the Additional Collector, East Champaran under Section 9 of the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011 (Bihar Act 23 of 2011)

In this background, the petitioner is directed to avail the remedy by way of filing an application under Section 9 of the Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011 (Bihar Act 23 of 2011) before the Additional Collector, East Champaran within four weeks from today and the Additional Collector, East Champaran is directed to pass reasoned and speaking order on the application of petitioner within three months from the date of filing of the said application before him.

6. With this direction, the present Writ Petition stands disposed off.
