The petitioner apprehends her arrest in Supaul P.S. case No. 414/1999 registered under Section 406, 420, 467, 341, 323, 504 of the IPC.

It appears that petitioner is of course a lady but she filed the present anticipatory bail petition only after 20 years from the date of institution of the case. The petitioner has been declared absconder and the police submitted charge sheet after declaring the petitioner absconder.

In this view of the fact, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. If the petitioner surrenders in the court below, the learned court below shall consider the prayer for bail of the petitioner on its own merit taking into consideration the fact that petitioner is a lady.
