The matter has been listed under the heading 'For Orders' under the orders of Hon'ble the Chief Justice. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the informant. The petitioners seek bail in a case registered under Sections 341, 323, 498(A), 328 of the I.P.C. and 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The prosecution case, in short, is that the accused persons including the petitioners tortured and assaulted the daughter of the informant due to non-fulfilment of demand of dowry.

No.64886 of 2019(3) dt.03-06-2020 2/2 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioners are in custody since 15.07.2019 and have got no criminal antecedent. Charge sheet has been submitted in this case. There is no allegation of tampering of witnesses against the petitioners. They have falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner No.1 is mother-in-law and petitioner No.2 is the brother-in-law of the victim.

On behalf of the State and learned counsel for the informant, it is submitted that the petitioners are named in the F.I.R. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the lockdown, the petitioners, above named, is directed to be released on bail on their personal bond to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, District West Champaran in connection with Shikarpur P.S. case No.67 of 2019.

Once the normalcy is restored, the petitioners shall furnish bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each within a period of four weeks to the satisfaction of the court concerned in connection with the aforesaid case. (Sudhir Singh, J) Narendra/- U T
