2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Kaji Mohammadpur P.S. Case No. 166 of 2016 registered for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 427, 504, 506, 307, 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The petitioner is the assailant of the deceased. The case was registered in the year 2016. After dismissal of his anticipatory bail in the year 2017, the petitioner did not surrender.

4. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that co-accused Vinod Kumar and Ajay Kumar have been acquitted. He further submits that affidavits have been

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. From the records of the case, it appears that the petitioner is an absconder, and he was and is tampering with the evidence while having absconded and has managed to get affidavits filed from the witnesses.

7. Considering the direct allegation against the petitioner, the fact that the petitioner is an absconder and is tampering with evidence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is dismissed.
