2. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to accept the joining of the petitioner on the post of Junior Account Assistant in the Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited, in terms of the Email dated 06.06.2014. According to the petitioner, the

Patna High Court CWJC No. 16502 of 2024(2) dt.11-11-2024 2/3 respondent company had informed the petitioner by an email dated 06.06.2014 (Annexure-P/3 to the writ petition) whereby it was informed to the petitioner that he has been provisionally selected for the post of Junior Account Assistant in South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited against Employment Notice No. 01/2014 and was requested to join on 09.06.2014 at 10:00 AM at Adhiveshan Bhawan, in front of Sichai Bhawan, Old Secretariat, Patna.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner could not go through the email dated 06.06.2014, sent to him by the respondent company, because of which he could not join on 09.06.2014, as directed in the email dated 06.06.2014.

Since the selection of the petitioner to the post of Junior Account Assistant in South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited dates back to the year 2014 and the petitioner has approached this Court in the year 2024 with a prayer for direction to the respondent company to accept his joining on the post of Junior Account Assistant in which post he was selected in the year 2014, I am of the view that such a direction to the respondent company as prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court on the ground of delay and laches in approaching the Court.

5. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed on the aforesaid ground.
