ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 21-01-2026 Without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the Counsels.

2. It is the case of the petitioner herein that the petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal under the Bihar Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2016 against the order of the Sub-Divisional Officer dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.16970 of 2025(2) dt.21-01-2026 2/3 28.08.2024 bearing Memo No. 510 whereby the licence of the petitioner has been cancelled. Though the petitioner has preferred an appeal on 22.01.2025 before the Collectorcum-District Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah i.e. Respondent No. 4 herein, the same has not been disposed of till date. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, therefore, prays this Court to direct the Respondent No. 4 to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner by fixing a time frame.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent-State submits that he has no objection if a direction is given to the authority concerned to pass necessary final orders in the appeal in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the above made submissions, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah (Respondent No. 4) to dispose of the PDS Cancellation Appeal No. 227 of 2025 which is pending before him as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 8 weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order. It is needless to mention that before passing any

5. With the above directions, the present Writ Petition stands disposed of.
