The license of the petitioner was suspended on receipt of certain complaints against him as a P.D.S. dealer.

The petitioner was asked to give his reply to such notice. He has submitted his explanation but, till date, no

Patna High Court CWJC No.22923 of 2019 dt.24-01-2023 2/2 final order has been passed. In the meantime, the petitioner has also been made an accused in a criminal case involving breach of the provisions of the E.C. Act, 1955.

The proceeding ought to be brought to a logical conclusion.

Considering this aspect of the matter, we direct the Licensing Authority to issue a fresh notice to the petitioner, asking him to explain the cause for retaining his licence and after return of the rule for which the petitioner shall be given reasonable time, a reasoned order shall be passed within a reasonable period of time, preferably sixty days thereafter.

With the aforenoted observation/direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
