This is an application for bail in connection with Kotwali P.S.Case No. 267 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 418, 419, 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 469, 470, 208 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation as per FIR is that some persons have issued forged appointment letters on the post of Peon in the High Court purported to have signed by Chief Justice and later on the name of petitioner transpires during course of investigation. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that he has falsely been implicated in this case and except confessional statement of co-accused there is nothing against him and he is in custody since 3.6.2017.

Having heard both sides and in view of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, as charge sheet has been submitted in this case, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of four months without giving unnecessary adjournment to the parties. At the same time, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Patna is directed to ensure presence of the witnesses in court so that trial be concluded within the said period.
