JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 29-06-2018 The petitioner has moved this Court seeking direction to the respondents-authorities to complete the investigation of By pass P.S. Case No. 12 of 2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though the FIR has been lodged almost one and a half years back, the police authorities are not taking any action and till date, the investigation has not been completed.

Learned counsel for the State is present.

In the facts and circumstances stated before this Court; the Superintendent of Police, Patna, the State House Officer of

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.200 of 2018 (2) dt.29-06-2018 Bypass Police Station, Patna and the investigating Officer-CumSub-Inspector, Bypass Police Station, Patna are directed to conclude the investigation of the case within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order and, submit a report in accordance with law before the learned Magistrate in seisin of the matter.

This Court would also record that since the case is of the early month of the year, 2017, any further delay is likely to cause a sense of insecurity in the mind of the petitioner and therefore, the Superintendent of Police, Patna would personally ensure that the concerned investigating officer completes his job well within the time, failing which, a new investigating officer should be appointed and the investigation be completed within the given period.

This writ petition stands disposed of.
