Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 3.5.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No.16052 of 2017, with a direction to the learned trial court to conclude the trial as soon as possible.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that no such progress has been made in the trial and the petitioner is languishing in jail since 6.2.2017.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the fact that earlier the case had been rejected on merit, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, since the petitioner is in custody for a period of one year, the learned trial court is directed
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1605 of 2018 (2) dt.10-01-2018 2/2 to expedite the trial. At the same time, the S.P., Sheohar is directed to see that the witnesses are produced in the court concerned on the date fixed, so that the trial may be concluded within the period as specified.
