2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. As per prosecution case, petitioner is named in the FIR with specific allegation that this petitioner and his family members killed informant's sister.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is husband of the deceased. There is no demand of dowry and marriage took place 10 years back. Charge sheet has already been submitted. Petitioner claims clean antecedent and he is in custody since 20.4.2025.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits that petitioner is husband of the deceased and he is named in the FIR with specific allegation that he along with his family members killed informant's sister. In the post mortem report, cause of death is mentioned as asphyxia due to strangulation, injury no.1 caused by ligature material, whereas

6. Considering the gravity of accusation as well as the materials collected during course of investigation, petition for bail of this petitioner is dismissed. Since, petitioner is in custody, let the trial be expedited and concluded preferably within a year.
