Petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in connection with Madanpur P.S.Case No. 271 of 2017, registered under Sections 304(B), 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation in brief is that daughter of the informant, married a year back, was killed by strangulation and throttling by the petitioners, who are her father-in-law and motherin-law for non fulfillment of demand of dowry. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are parent of the husband of the deceased and they are living separately. It is also submitted that petitioners are in custody since 19.11.2017 and they are aged about 70 to 75 years.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26205 of 2018 (3) dt.25-06-2018 2/2 Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail on the ground that post mortem report clearly states that lady was killed by throttling and they were trying to burn the dead body.

Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail of the petitioners stands rejected at this stage. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within one and half year, if, it is not concluded within said period, the petitioners may renew their prayer for bail.
