The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Hasanpur P.S. Case No. 92 of 2024 instituted for the offence under Sections 80, 85 & 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 3.

The informant alleged that his daughter married on 26.02.2024, and was harassed by her husband, mother-in-law, and other in-laws for a demand of dowry of Rs. 2,00,000/- and household items. She allegedly died under suspicious circumstances at her matrimonial home on 27.07.2024. 4.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 02.06.2025. Petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.73304 of 2025(2) dt.30-10-2025 2/2 bears no criminal antecedent, as per disclosure made in paragraph No. 3 of the bail application.

It has been further submitted by the petitioner's counsel that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. Petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. Husband of the deceased is already in custody. There is delay of 9 days in lodging the FIR. There is no specific allegation attributed to the petitioner rather the same is general and omnibus in nature. Charge sheet has already been submitted in this case. 6.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. 7.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, period of custody of the petitioner and charge sheet being submitted, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Hasanpur P.S. Case No. 92 of 2024.
