The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Parsa Bazar P.S. Case No. 263 of 2018 which has been registered for the offences under Sections 406, 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

From the accusation made in the F.I.R, it appears that the informant had supplied 20 tones of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.68148 of 2019(2) dt.04-12-2019 2/3 pulses for which the petitioner is said to have issued a cheque which was not honoured.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that four other cases also have been lodged against him and he is on bail in all such cases. It has further been submitted that it is a case of business dispute and instead of preferring a complaint for dishonour of cheque, this criminal case has been lodged in order to add seriousness to a dispute which could have been settled in a different manner, either by sitting across the table or otherwise.

Regard being had to the period of custody of the petitioner, which is from 12.10.2018, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousands) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial
