1. Though the present writ petition was filed for directing the District Magistrate, Jehanabad to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner for grant of arms license, however, during the interregnum period, the District Magistrate, Jehanabad has rejected the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license, vide order dated 25.10.2023, hence the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the said order dated 25.10.2023, by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty so sought is granted.

2. It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed, within a period of two weeks from today, the appellate authority shall examine the same on merits, without being

3. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
