Petitioner, already in custody since 16.5.2018 seeks bail in Sikty PS Case No. 228 of 2017 registered under Sections 366 and 354A of the IPC.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that firstly a complaint was filed after a delay of 14 days of the alleged occurrence, the allegation is also absurd that she was kidnapped by the petitioner on 15.5.2017 and let off on 5.6.2017 and kept her in Howrah but earlier no information regarding her kidnapping or missing was lodged by her family members.

Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the petitioner, namely, Shahid Alam is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of CJM Araria in connection with Sikty PS Case No. 228 of 2017.
