The petitioner is in custody since 15.01.2018 in connection with Narcotics Control Bureau Case No. 03 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

In view of the fact that recovery was made from the possession of the petitioner and is of commercial quantity, the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected with the direction to the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of nine months.
