Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 20(C), and 25 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

Petitioner was apprehended from a truck which was carrying huge quantity of Ganja.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. He is neither owner nor driver of the truck. He is also not the owner of the recovered Ganja. Petitioner had no knowledge about the Ganja. Petitioner is in custody since 30.01.2018.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. For the present prayer for bail is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41138 of 2018(6) dt.09-04-2019 2/2 refused.

Learned trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial within nine months failing which, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew the prayer before the court below itself.
